Easter Day | Traditions Guide No. 015

Mar 23, 2016 by Christine

Growing up we’d wake to sweet Easter baskets filled with treats, a couple toys, maybe a book, and something new for our Sunday best. We’d spend a little time enjoying our gifts, eat a decadent breakfast, then pile into the car and listen to beautiful hymns on the way to church. We’ve continued these traditions with our kids and have started some new ones too: egg salad for lunch made from all the eggs dyed earlier in the week and an epic afternoon egg hunt with hundreds of eggs filled with tiny surprises. And for dinner, family and friends over for a simple feast of lamb with just a couple accompaniments—things that don’t require much effort so we can soak in the day.
